Guests behaviour will be monitored for the duration of the stay and should there be any signs of aggression or promiscuity in multiple occupation suites, Maple Tree Cattery reserved the right to separate the guests in separate suites. Should this become necessary, the guest’s owner agrees to be responsible for the full cost of the additional suite.

Health & Wellbeing
Our guest’s wellbeing is paramount and accordingly the following has been put in place to protect that wellbeing. Accordingly, there will be no concessions or deviations from the same.
- Guests will not be accepted for boarding without a VALID and UP TO DATE vaccination for cat flu and enteritis. All cats must be vaccinated annually with the booster vaccination administered no longer than 15 months from the previous vaccination.
- Vaccination cards will be retained upon arrival and returned on collection – the guest’s owner expressly consents to Maple Tree Cattery retaining an electronic or paper copy of the vaccination card indefinitely.
- Records showing dates of last worming and flea treatments are also required and will be retained on the guest’s file indefinitely.
- Male cats over the age of 6 months will only be accepted for boarding if neutered.
- Disclosure of a guest’s full medical history is required at the time of arrival. Should the guest’s owner fail to do so, Maple Tree Cattery accepts no liability for any ramifications flowing from such a failure.
- Each guest’s owner expressly agrees that should the guest require veterinary attention (such a requirement being entirely at the discretion of Maple Tree Cattery), the owner of the guest will be responsible for all veterinary fees incurred and the cost of transportation to the veterinary surgeon at the chauffeur rates noted above.
- Should a guest be insured for veterinary and/or other fees, full details of the policy should be provided to Maple Tree Cattery upon arrival – should a guest’s owner fail to do so, Maple Tree Cattery accepts no responsibility for an inability of the guest’s owner to recover any charges levied from the insurance company.
- The guest’s owner expressly agrees (by virtue of the guest checking in to Maple Tree Cattery) and consents to any veterinary surgeon consulted in respect of the guest providing information relating to the guest to and take instructions in respect of the care of the guest from Maple Tree Cattery staff. The guest’s owner further hereby consents to any veterinary surgeon consulted obtaining up to date medical history in respect of the guest from the guest’s regular veterinary surgeon.
- Maple Tree Cattery reserves the right to refuse accommodation to any guest showing signs of impending illness (such a discretion being entirely at the discretion of Maple Tree Cattery).
- Maple Tree Cattery will administer any medication recommended by any veterinary surgeon upon a guest becoming unwell and it is expressly agreed that the owner of a guest consents to such medication being administered.

As would be expected of a reputable establishment, Maple Tree Cattery carries indemnity insurance in respect of each guest’s stay and the owner of each guest’s entry and exit from the site. It is expressly agreed that any liability of Maple Tree Cattery will be limited to the limit of any indemnity policy held by Maple Tree Cattery from time to time (currently £2m).
Whilst every care and precaution is taken to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all cats, they are boarded entirely at the owner of the guest’s own risk. If any animal is not collected within 14 days of the stated departure date and no communication is received either from the owner of the guest or their agent, Maple Tree Cattery reserves the right to re-home or dispose of the guest.
